Platform lift – level-free access at home and in public environments
A platform lift creates safe and flexible access when there are differences in level, steps or stairs. The solution is ideal for wheelchair users, people with walking difficulties and families with strollers – both indoors and outdoors. Platform lifts are available as vertical lifting platforms and as inclined platform lifts that follow the stairs (straight or curved). If the need instead is to transport people in a seated position on a narrow staircase, a stair lift or chair lift can be more compact.
What is a platform lift?
- Vertical platform lift : Lifts vertically between two levels (e.g. 0.5–3 m), typically at entrances, terraces or between floors.
- Inclined platform lift : A foldable platform runs on a rail along the stairs – adaptable to both straight and curved stairs.
- Application : Private homes, housing associations, shops, offices, schools, museums and other public buildings.
